Key Temperature Considerations:

1. Cold Temperatures (Below 60°F):
• Reduced Performance: Bats tend to lose some of their “pop” or responsiveness in colder weather. The materials can become more brittle, and the ball feels harder on impact, leading to less energy transfer.
• Risk of Cracking or Dents: Composite bats are more prone to cracking in cold temperatures, while aluminum bats can dent more easily. Manufacturers often recommend avoiding use under 60°F.
2. Hot Temperatures (Above 100°F):
• Material Softening: In extreme heat, bats may become more flexible, potentially altering their performance. For composite bats, this can also accelerate wear and tear.

Ideal Temperature Range:
For most bats, the optimal range for performance and durability is between 60°F and 100°F. Bats used within this temperature window maintain their structural integrity and deliver consistent performance.
